The Oklahoma Pecan Scab Model for scheduling fungicides is based on field studies conducted at four sites in Oklahoma during 1993-1996. It calculates the number of "scab hours" having temperature and moisture conditions favorable for infection and disease development. Using the number of scab hours during the unprotected part of the past 14 days, the Model lets you know when to spray to protect your pecans, but also indicates when it is unnecessary to spray.

All customers are urged to read the Model Description for a better understanding of the Oklahoma Pecan Scab Model. The Model operates from March 1 through August 31and is updated daily, with the latest results being available at this web site by 6:30 a.m. CDT each morning.
